Expert Advice from Industry Professionals

The workshop started with a series of expert-led discussions on topics such as portfolio building, the understanding of modelling contracts, and how to prepare for agency castings. But these sessions weren’t just informative, they were filled with real stories and advice from professionals who have worked hard to make it to where they're at today.

Each speaker touched on the highs and lows of the industries they work in, how to stay safe and informed, and what it really takes to succeed in today’s modelling world. Many attendees shared afterward how helpful it was to hear honest, first-hand advice from people who had once been in their shoes.

At its core, The Shoot exists to equip both models and photographers with the skills, knowledge, and support they need to confidently navigate the creative industry. Our primary mission is to create a space where growth, learning, and connection are not only encouraged but accessible to everyone. This workshop reflected that by providing attendees with custom booklets filled with practical information, tips, and tricks to help them better understand the ins and outs of the modelling world. Beyond the learning, we made it a priority to remind every participant that they’re not alone and that there’s a growing community standing behind them, ready to offer support in any shape or form throughout their careers. The Shoot is, above all, a community, and we are committed to looking out for one another and helping each person along their journey.
